This notice explains how Berjangmerry handles personal information when you browse our store, place a pre-order or contact us.
Information and purposes
- Orders and delivery: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, products, quantities, order notes and transaction references, used to process payment, fulfil orders and manage cancellations and returns.
- Customer care: your contact details, correspondence, order number and any photos or dog measurements you voluntarily supply, used to answer your enquiry and check suitability.
- Website operation: technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, visited pages, session identifiers and security logs, used to operate the store, maintain the cart, measure usage and help prevent abuse.
- Optional marketing: contact details and preferences you provide when subscribing. You can unsubscribe or contact us to stop marketing.
You can order as a guest. Fields marked required at checkout are needed to process and deliver an order; without them we may be unable to fulfil it. Please do not send identity documents, full card numbers or unrelated sensitive information in order notes or email.
Legal grounds
Where applicable, we process order data to take steps at your request and perform the purchase contract; retain records to meet legal duties; and use proportionate security and support information for our legitimate interests in operating the store and resolving issues. Where consent is required for optional marketing or tracking, that processing depends on your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Providers and recipients
Our store uses WordPress and WooCommerce hosted through Bluehost. Payments are processed through PayPal and its payment partners; we receive transaction information needed to manage your order. Payment credentials supplied to PayPal are subject to its own privacy notice. Website services include Automattic/Jetpack for site functions and statistics, and Elementor Site Mailer for email delivery and delivery records.
Delivery requires sharing recipient and parcel details with the carrier and, where required, customs authorities. The carrier used for your shipment is identified in its tracking information. We may also disclose relevant records to professional advisers or authorities when legally necessary. These recipients receive information relevant to their role.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies and similar storage support shopping sessions, preferences and website functions. Analytics and advertising integrations can process usage data and identifiers to measure visits and advertising results. Use the website’s Cookies control to review available choices and change your preferences; your browser also allows you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential storage may affect the cart or checkout. Contact us with any questions about a particular tracker or consent choice.
Processing across borders
Berjangmerry operates in South Korea. Our hosting, payment, website and email providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. The applicable provider entity, processing locations and safeguards depend on the service and your location. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards relevant to your order. Where a transfer requires a specific legal mechanism or consent, applicable transfer requirements must be met; this notice alone is not a substitute for such consent.
How long information is kept
We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable accounting, consumer-protection and dispute-resolution obligations. The relevant criteria include completion of your order, return and dispute periods, mandatory recordkeeping periods and unresolved claims. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed; a limited suppression record may be retained to respect your choice. You may ask us to review or delete information. Records still required by law or an unresolved claim may need to be retained. Store records are not currently subject to a configured automatic deletion schedule.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, object to certain uses and withdraw consent. Email our privacy contact above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also contact the competent privacy authority, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission, as applicable.
Security and updates
The store uses HTTPS. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you believe your order or information has been misused. We will update this page when practices change and provide additional notice when required.
